Peace
The Parish of St. Keverne with Coverack is situated on the Lizard peninsular, to the south east. There are two Anglican churches in the parish, St. Keverne, which dates from the 15th Century and St. Peter`s at Coverack, built in the latter part of the 19th Century. The parish is part of Kerrier deanery which is in the Diocese of Truro, Cornwall.
Besides the two Anglican churches there are two Methodist chapels, one in St. Keverne and one in the outlying hamlet of Ponsongath.

The Priest in Charge
The Parish of St. Keverne with Coverack is currently without a Vicar however the
Revd Peter Sharpe
has recently been appointed as Priest-in-charge. See the Clergy page for more details.

St. Keverne Window
As a Parish we cater for a variety of requirements in worship from the formal Book of Common Prayer communions held at 8:00am on Sunday to the less formal Family Service using modern songs led by our Music Group. We have experimented with the very open, and hopefully accessible form of Cafe Church, and hold a simple friendly service once a month in Porthallow Institute. Services are also held once a month in two of the rest/nursing homes in the parish.

We aim to be a Church Without Walls taking the Love of God and the Gospel message into the community and making a welcoming atmosphere where people can join us and feel at ease. With the aim of providing a service to the local community we run a Parent and Toddler group, an activity evening for young people and an Alpha Course where people can come and enjoy fellowship together, see a DVD explaining something about Christianity and ask questions in a secure environment.
